im back from the annoyingly slow substitute doctor!

nyaaa. i think he was lousy okay. not like my usual doctor ): but well, that doctor was out so i had to make do la.

he waited for a good five minutes between each patient la. SO ANNOYING! dr tan always called the next patient after like, at most two seconds. grr.

nevermind. ANYWAY.


im damn pissed that i have to go and get myself injured when im ic la.

okay i mean, yes. i bet everyone will think i ponned because i didnt want to be ic. but like this time my knee's genuinely screwed okay.

aiya i knew i shouldnt have gone shopping for so long yesterday. and i also went shopping today -.- man im hopeless.

anw whatever. the doctor didnt do anything except give me a 2 week mc and a couple more killers.


okay imo, i shouldnt be taking these painkillers.

because taking painkillers= no more pain= i go out and shop some more and further aggravate my injury.

yes and anyway i cant believe the poor rj triathelete passed away because there were no medics.

its ridiculous okay! how can osim organise an event and scrimp on getting MEDICS.

its a triathlon (im sorry i have no idea if this is the correct spelling) and they dont have a single first aider around.

like what the hell!

the guy is eliz's brother's friend, and its really very sad la. its a huge waste okay.

to think that he could have lived if someone had performed cpr on him.

i cant believe it la. the parents should totally sue the organisers.


i mean, they could have gotten volunteers or something! offer cip hours, whatever! if their budget was that tight, even a few amateur first aiders would have been better than NOTHING.

even our ORA walk-a-jogathon had SO many first aiders.

dont tell me an event where people RUN doesnt need first aiders.

i was seriously mortified when i heard about it from eliz okay.


every event should have first aiders. and how could it be possible that like everyone in the general public there didnt know how to perform cpr! cpr is really really important okay.

and i kinda had the impression that a significant number of people knew basic cpr. according to eliz, though (im not sure if its completely true) no one there knew what to do.



and the guy died of lack of oxygen.

i guess its this kind of thing that really makes me feel like i should be taking first aid and evac more seriously.

can you imagine? like maybe if one of us were there, he could have survived.

heard that he was like really talented and everything, and its really a huge pity.



well, i guess we can use this story to like tell juniors the importance of first aid and cpr and evac and everything.
