i am very, very annoyed for a number of reasons.
firstly, RIDICULOUSLY HORRIBLE national day music is blasting over the PA system, preventing me from sleeping. which is why im blogging now.
secondly, we got kicked out of national day GOH flagbearing yesterday. actually, we were never in it. and we have this super strong feeling that we were totally saboed la. annoying waste of our time. like hello, i could have put those TWO GOOD FREE DAYS to much better use. PLUS, i missed cooking, and i'll have to make that up on ANOTHER good free day.
thirdly, i stayed up damn late last night to chiong out the whole tripod script. like you know, im not going to care if anyone objects to what i wrote okay, because everyone else couldnt be bothered to do it and well obviously someone has to do it. and i bet everyone else had alot more free time than me okay? cannot stand it, ugh.
fourthly, (i dont care if theres such a word or not) there's geog on friday and i havent started mugging. i didnt even do the formative la.
fifthly, i got lost for over two hours in pasir ris yesterday. long story, bleah, but the point is that im tired. and cranky.
and the most RIDICULOUS version of 'di tanjong katong' is playing now. omggg.

i think the 100k movement is really quite cool.
its basically this thing where this group of christians aim to bless 100,000 people during the national day period, and like you can choose which blessings you want and the person who introduces you to it will pray for you throughout the month.
i didnt really want to be involved in it at first, because im not christian and i dont really want to trouble people to pray for me or anything. but like well, every one else at today's group meeting was doing it and i didnt want to seem rude by insisting on not doing.
evan took me and janice, and i chose three things! wisdom/intelligence (MATH OMG.) , family health (my grandmother's been in hospital for surgery this past week), and friendships/relationships!
janice chose inner peace and forgiveness, which really made me feel quite bad. cause the stuff i chose were kind of materialistic, i guess.

it all went pretty well i guess (: went to telok kurau, hosted by mai, on thursday.
we only stayed til 10.30, which is like two and a half lessons -.- like why's our school so ngiao la! and after that, michelle and peishan had to come down in cabs to escort us back to school lol -.- self-importance can be really amusing.
i went to mai's class, and she's sec two! jinxin was with irwan, and we were in the same class. so both of us were like demoted to sec 2 haha.
first lesson was science! the teacher kept smiling at me o0 was a bit weirded out even though irwan warned me beforehand. talked abit with a nice girl called apribelle who sat next to me (:
second lesson was project work (but they all called it music) and i was totally bored cause my group was busy doing stuff and jinxin and irwan were in another group so i had like no one to talk to except this indonesian scholar who could barely speak english. okay whatever i shouldnt be so mean, since he was like one of the only ones who actually talked to me during that block.
next was english! hahaha the most amusing lesson of the day. sat next to jinxin, and we were commenting on the teacher's pronunciation omg. or should i say, his "poper ponunciation" hahaha. ahem.
and hosted valerie today for RHD. valerie's nice yay :D and i went around in a stupid improvised sari. (badbad choice!) but ohwell, yes. valerie was a very nice buddy :D
and then jingles, rachie, valerie, louisa and i went for lunch together, yay.
and went down for the recce trip just now with irwan, melvin, gary, andy and terrence. the kids at smiles are really cute :D esp the girl who kept hugging us! so cute (: she pulled irwan to a computer and jabbed his hand at some buttons, and she looked really happy to see his puzzled face :D i totally cant wait to go down to smiles for our welfare project :D

went to support gym with fiona. we were basically quite bored la, and like the lighting was so bad there (wl, so inconsiderate! cant they spare a thought for people who want to do homework there!) okay JK whatever!

whatever i got my retribution okay. i ran outside the stadium, and walked abit. and then i heard running behind me, so i assumed it was fiona and mavis and i started running, and ducked into the nearest place i saw.
and like guess what- it was the stairwell to the entrance to the male toilet.
AND WORST OF ALL? the people running behind me werent fiona and mavis, they were two guys going to the male toilet.
they were staring and gaping at me la, and after that mavis said i probably had this guilty look because i stole fiona's belt and was expecting to see fiona. and they must have misread it and thought i was some kind of pervert.
omgg damn malu. the guys were pointing and looking super shocked and everything! okay that has got to be one of the most embarrassing moments ever okay.

i love love love tripod! :D tripod's been the best camp everrr. with the most awesome people and the most awesome programme and the most awesome objectives. and the most awesome success, of course :D
tripod's seriously been the best camp i've ever been to. exceeded ALL of my expectations(: and i really had very high expectations already okay, so you can imagine how much tripod rocked.
i've had the most amazing time ever, and this has left such a superbig impact on me la!:D

i seriously think this has made a HUGE difference. its changed my views quite abit la, and taught me alotalot of things (:

we didnt get in for cmps. which was totally expected so whatever yeah (:
kinda sad though. like we worked our butts off and we arent even in the top10.
hahah but then again, it doesnt really matter.
cause at the end of the day, its not the title that matters. its the process and the outcome :D
and since our process rocks so much already (minus the hellish work) i guess it was like worth it la :D least i can say cmps was fun this year!

my grandmother's going for an operation in a couple days' time, so the hospital was asking her some questions for a survey la.

i think tripod was seriously a lucky break for us la. like its a really cool coincidence that people have so many ideas SO similar (almost exactly the same omg!) as us!
and the whole thing seems really well planned and michelle is so nice :D

and we dont really want to repeat what they did. so maybe we'll have to change our plans.

in the meantime, yay. next friday-sunday is the camp! and next thursday and friday is the school exchange programmes. and of course there's the CIP stuff over the next few weeks. (man im going to be busy.)
anw i think its really cool that we can participate in this thing.
firstly, its such a cool event! (because hahaha, we thought of all these things, and our ideas must be awesome la!)
secondly, RGS students were originally forbidden to take part in the thing(: except odac la, they're hosting the camp and everything, and in charge of the camp. BUT, we're going to be the research arm in the tripod project! :D so we're allowed to take part in it AWESOMEE:D
at first k.tan totally wouldnt let us be participants. and then we agreed to just be observers (although that sounded DEADLY boring and incredibly awkward)
and then later we talked to michelle (the chairperson of the tripod organising team) and she was like, 'huh? but wouldnt it be very weird if you all didnt participate and just went around staring at people' (or something to that effect)
and we were all, 'YES! WOW WE'RE SO GLAD SOMEBODY IN THIS ROOM FINAAALLYY SEES THAT!'
yes yes :D wooh. so hahaha we got our way. it means alot more commitment and alot more work but whatever it means alot more fun, too! lalala.

mugged at changi airport this morning with fiona:D and then we went to tm to watch nancy drew!

when i was young my family ALWAYS used to go to the airport staff canteen
just for the AWESOME Y duck rice there. i still kinda remember the owner's face, and the super super nice sauce and duck gizard.
unfortunately the owner's changed ): the duck rice we ate was like average lah, and the soup tasted weird and the rice was too peppery.
and changi airport was super cold =/ maybe its cause it was in the morning or something, but i was totally freezing even though i was all zipped up in my jacket.
me: SO COLD! i should have worn full length jeans instead of these caprii jeans
fiona: i thought caprii was three quarter? yours is half!
me: ohyeah. err. what do you call half-jeans?
fiona: clown pants!

haha okay whatever super spas. anw then we went off at 1pm to watch nancy drew.
and we reached GV at 1.30, which is when the movie was supposed to start. BUT, there was a super super long queue, which we totally should have pre-empted -.- since the last time we wanted to go for a movie at tampines, we faced a super long queue too and ended up missing our movie and not watching anything at all. (next time MUST remember to pre-order tickets!)
yeah well anyway we missed the 1.30 show (obviously!) but there was a 3.30 show :D so we caught that instead.
hahah and the two hours (okay about one and a half hours, since we spent so long queueing) was spent doing really spastic things.
fiona wanted to go do that painting thing, like the kind that little kids do. buy a picture, fill in the colours, and get it dried.
but the whole corner was filled with little kids, and we didnt want to go embarrass ourselves and intrude on the little kids' fun =/ so we gave that up and went to toys r us!
hahah we kept doing stupid stuff and then asking each other, 'HOW OLD ARE YOU!' (it was mainly FIONA doing the childish things okay! not me! -looks innocent-)
yes and in the barbie section (hahaha my favorite) we found this BIG hot pink
feather boa!
i put it on and was like yay! love feathery things. and then fiona made me wear a feathery princess tiara and i took a feathery purple purse and posed for a picture. hahah:D

like lol. okay and then we went to metro because its having a closing down sale! everything no less than 50% off! :D :D
unfortunately, i was really broke today and only had 30 bucks -.- because SOMEONE (ahem phoebe sim ahem) borrowed 45 bucks from me to pay for her track thing.
yeah well so not enough for both a movie and eating AND shopping ):
nevermind too bad.
but we were playing around anyway la, and we were at the cosmetics section. (because fiona got bored of the toys section -.-) so then we found this temporary hair dye that i bought previously for totally more than they were selling it now! felt so cheated ):
yeah then fiona coloured a pink streak in my hair and took a photo of it.
and then we were playing with eyeshadow, and i put on this thing i THOUGHT was pink eyeshadow (THE BIG SIGN SAID EYESHADOW OKAY)
but unfortunately it was really blusher -.- (what the hell how was i supposed to know)
so basically it was really bright and looked extremely overdone (duh, its blusher.)
(i was wearing a bit of eyeshadow la but it was light pink and not very obvious so we wanted to make it hot pink to match the streak in my hair)
yeah well then i attempted to balance off the hot pink eyeshadow by putting on (less hot) pink blusher on my cheeks.
BIG MISTAKE.
bad bad bad.
never attempt to put on eyeshadow or blusher without using proper brushes. (i had a small brush in my bag but we didnt want to look like we purposely came to metro to apply tester cosmetics -.-)
okay so i looked very stupid (fiona's fault la! you and your ideas on playing with testers hahah.)
yep whatever and i couldnt wash it off! it was like omg. i had to cover it all up with foundation (not another tester la my own)
okay so FINALLY we went to the movie theater.
we went in quite early, and awhile after we went in, two guys walked in and went to the seats a couple rows ahead of us.
they were talking really loudly, but we didnt really mind cause it was amusing.
guy1 (looking around the theater): wahlao. whole place full of girls leh!
guy2: ya lor i told you so. thats why its rated G. for GIRLS ONLY!
guy2: nancy drew is about nancy drawing, right? hahaha fiona and i laughed damn hard at that one. quite malu cause the guys stared at us abit, and people around us must have thought we were super weird, because no one else was laughing (whaaat, cant people appreciate a good joke without being stared at!) but its really quite funny luh ):
okay yeaah and the movie was quite okay la, but abit draggy at parts. (the guy acting as ned is damn cute.) the people behind us kept laughing at random parts, and we totally didnt get it.

okay, im probably overreacting. i know not everyone's as free as me. and you did take time off your busy schedule and purposely ponned _____ to _____. yeah. i really appreciated that! i mean that was probably the reason why i ________ lah. and i know im not exactly the most responsible person myself, i was really late for that and that and that. but i mean, at least i smsed and apologised that i was gonna be late right. and its not like i didnt show up. okay but that time i did get you into trouble, and i immensely regretted it.
