rawr i read this column in the new paper today where the writer complained about lending someone her book, and not getting it back for a really really long time.
its so annoying right! she's totally right. when you lend someone something, there's always an unspoken
code of conduct that when you ask for it back, you'll get it back.
but if you ask for it back several times and you still dont get it back?
ugh!
i mean, its bad enough for the writer, because the book was hers.
but what happens if its not even yours!
like half a year ago, a good friend recommended me this book, and i wanted to borrow it. his sister (in rg, whom i knew abit too) happened to have the book, so i borrowed it for like two days and returned it to her in class.
i was reading that book before training, and fiona saw me. so i started obsessing over how nice the book was and fiona said she had the sequel to it, too!
of course, being a nice person she lent it to me la :D
and being a terribly obsessive person, i obsessed over the sequel to my good friend too, and after asking fiona for permission i lent it to him through his sister.
and up til now, like more than six months later, i still havent gotten the book back!
i've been chasing alotalotalot okay. i asked her a few times, asked her classmate (a redcross junior) to help me ask her, asked her brother ALOT of times, and still nothing!
i dont blame her brother la, like as he said: 'dont scold me, go scold (XXX). i ask her every day to bring that book, and every morning she doesnt.'
but its so, ugh! someone lent you a book that ISNT HERS, and you dont even bother to return it even though she chases so much! ):
i feel like a total loanshark okay.
and whats more, its not my book!
(fiona if your comp is fixed and you're reading this, im sorry for not returning that book for sooo long ): )
makes me feel bad about acting like a loanshark and bugging people like that, and about not returning someone's book.
like dude, dont you feel bad too! rawr.
